Florence Fennel, 25+ Seeds NON-GMO Organically Grown

This fennel variety has broad overlapping leaves that form a large, edible, bulb-like base below its celery-like stalks. The bulb and stalks, as well as the feathery, dill-like leaves that top this 3' tall plant, have a mild licorice or anise flavor. This tender perennial grown as an annual prospers when given a steady supply of moisture. Harvest before plant blooms to keep bulb from becoming tough. Prefers well-drained rich soil.

These seeds were harvested from fully mature plants that were organically grown with no pesticide or herbicide use.

Start seeds indoors 4-6 weeks before transplant date. Do not transplant outdoors until all danger of frost is past. Can also be grown indoors in containers, in a sun room, or on a patio. Mature in 60-90 days.
